U.S. Army Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Program Training Video
Captain (Retired) Dawn Halfaker is featured in a training video on the service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) program. The Army Office of Small Business Programs has an aggressive SDVOSB strategic plan to increase contracting opportunities within not just the Department of the Army, but also within the entire Federal Government. A major component of this strategic plan is to educate Army leadership, acquisition professionals, and SDVOSBs through a modular, turn key training program that utilizes state of the art delivery methods. Dawn provided insight as a wounded warrior that has recently established a small business. She stated, “It is important for young people to establish a sense of purpose and I think that a small business is a great way to do that. Especially people that have had a legacy of service to the military; to get out and continue that service, just in a different capacity.”
