Halfaker and Associates Helps Those in Need Through Company Coat Drive

Washington, DC – Throughout the month of December, Halfaker and Associates conducted a Coat Drive in conjunction with Helios HR to help Reston Interfaith in support of those in need.

Reston Interfaith is a nonprofit organization serving Northern Virginia that promotes self-sufficiency through support and advocacy for those in need of food, shelter, affordable housing, quality childcare, and other services. They aim to help build and sustain strong, vibrant neighborhoods and ensure a healthy future for the people they serve. Since 1970, Reston Interfaith has answered the needs of the community with concrete resources: attractive and affordable housing in Northern Virginia, a child development center and parent education and support, food and financial assistance, and other programs that help men, women, and children live successfully in Northern Virginia.

Halfaker hopes that their donations to Reston Interfaith go out to those in need and help prevent individuals from making the choice between buying a winter coat and putting food on the table or meeting other basic survival needs.

If you are still interested in donating a winter coat to Reston Interfaith, they are accepting donations through March 13th, 2010. They are looking for New and Gently Used (i.e. in good condition and clean) winter coats, hats, gloves and scarves. All child and adult sizes (XL & XXL are especially needed). Coats may be brought to The Community Room at the Hunter Mill District Supervisor’s Office (North County Govt. Center) 12000 Bowman Towne Drive, Reston, VA 20190.
