Halfaker and Associates Sponsors the Brehm Preparatory School’s FIRST Robotics Team

Washington, DC - Halfaker and Associates (Halfaker) recently sponsored the Illinois based Brehm Preparatory School’s FIRST Robotics team called the "Megahurts."  FIRST, standing for “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology,” is an international non-profit with a mission to spread excitement for science and technology to the next generation of leaders and scientists. 

The Brehm Preparatory School is the only school in the Midwest specifically designed to serve students in grades 6 through 12 with complex learning disabilities and attention deficit disorder issues.  Brehm provides a holistic education that integrates the academic, social and emotional needs of students to recognize and optimize their full potential.

Halfaker’s donation to the “Megahurts” team supports their participation in the March Regional Competition in St. Louis, MO.  The team is currently working around the clock to build an amazing robot that meets all the extraordinary challenges set by this year’s FIRST competition organizers.

Halfaker wishes the team the best of luck in this year’s competition and is committed to helping inspire and prepare young people to better engage in the vital fields of science, technology, and engineering.
